Much to my wife's dismay, the girls and I got these cockroaches at the Northwest Captive Breeders Expo. We aren't allowed to get any more vertebrates, so we got a new tarantula and these cockroaches instead.
Despite the fact that they have wings, they can't fly. If they jump, they flap them furiously to help cushion their landing.
